As I write this, it’s 12:45 AM here in my man cave. I’m reclining on my raggedy love seat, no shirt on, eating a big ass bowl of strawberry ice cream, and listening to Gainesville’s only Frank Zappa/Mothers of Invention radio program being broadcast live into my house via 94.7 FM. Magical moments like this keep me going through my day. Don’t take them away from me by letting WGOT go under.
Gainesville’s own low-power community radio station WGOT-LP 94.7 FM will have its next benefit show on Friday, April 6 at Loosey’s. Lo-fi garage punks The Dirty Lowdowns , trumpet/cello/moog operation Foretone, and Americana crew A Murder of One will be there to make it worth your while. Doors at 9pm, $5-$10 donation sliding scale.
